HRI Medical Event Coordinator needed for 3 to 6 months
Opportunity Description: I am looking to build a small team of individuals that are great with coordinating and publicising events. Ideally the two candidates would have a passionate interest in human rights. This position is ideal for individuals that are professional, have a background or knowledge of PR, Marketing and Event Planning that want to contribute to a cause with their expertise. It is also ideal for an individual that works well in teams and has self initiative as well as plenty of creativity and the desire to be part of building something from the ground up. The Event Coordinators will be responsible for organizing a pilot event for Human Rights Initiative of North Texas. This will entail helping to plan and brainstorm the idea, contact and set up speakers and participating individuals for the event, publicising the event and bringing workind directly with me, the Client Services Administrator to ensure the success of the event in order to try and transition it into a long term part of HRI's outreach. It will require at least 15 hours a week, and will be a team effort between the 2 Coordinators, myself and whatever other team members we build beneath us. The Event Coordinators will be in charge of larger coordination and managing while HRI will work to bring other members that can handle actual activities of marketing, publicising and groundwork outreach.
